Main areas of expertise

My professional activities are focused on private building and architects law as well as in and out of court negotiations in civil law.

Building Law / Architects Law

I advise and represent architects, engineers and construction workers as well as public and private purchasers of construction services in the entire field of civil building and architects law, which are my main areas of operation.

I provide legal support for my clients in drafting and reviewing contracts for work and services, purchase contracts, as well as construction and property development contracts (including general terms and conditions according to the Construction Tendering and Contract Regulations). I also support my clients in all performance, remuneration and liability issues that arise, in particular in connection with suspected or identifiable construction defects. This also covers the legal consideration of amendments, contractual penalties and claims for damages.

Conduct of a case / Conflict resolution

As far as negotiations are concerned, I accompany and support my clients in conflict situations and point out possible solutions. I analyse the mutual interests, opportunities and risks of the parties involved in order to develop an offensive or defensive strategy, to implement it in a targeted manner and to achieve the best possible results. This can be done through court or arbitration proceedings, but also out of court by means of professional negotiation and mediation.

Contract Law

In addition to these main areas, I also advise and represent my clients in all matters relating to contract law and sale of goods law, from the drafting of delivery conditions, terms of business and conditions of purchase,  via the drafting of contracts of various types, through to the assertion of warranty claims and claims for damages, as well as the defence against unjustified claims.
